In 1998, Charles Bonas became the first London education consulting and tuition company founder to integrate American college applications into British curriculum based services. Results soon materialised, with our first student winning a place at Harvard in 1999. In the years since, Bonas MacFarlane has helped hundreds of applicants achieve quite remarkable outcomes: in one recent admissions round, four out of five of our students were accepted to Stanford, out of a total of twelve in the whole of the United Kingdom.
We have a deep understanding of the American university admissions process. For twenty years, we have drawn on the advice of former deans and heads of admissions of Ivy League and other top colleges, and developed our programmes with a former director the US-UK Fulbright Commission and some of the world's leading SAT / ACT training organisations. In addition to helping students, we have also advised many of the leading British independent schools on the US admissions process.
We achieve hundreds of acceptances a year, and have helped students win places to all the Ivy League colleges and many other colleges - some well-known, others hidden secrets recommended by our advisors. Many students apply concurrently to British universities, with several every year also gaining offers to Oxford or Cambridge.
Discrete & bespoke service
Our college advisory service is discrete and completely bespoke.
Programmes vary in length from hourly consultations, to three month intensive advisory sessions leading up to the December deadlines, to relationships lasting several years, where we organise college tours, mentor students to develop the academic, extra-curricular and writing skills they will need to secure a winning application.
