Oxford: Biomedical Admissions Test

5 sessions

About the Course

This course will prepare you for the Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT). The BMAT Sections 1 and 3 assume no prior knowledge, while BMAT Section 2 requires a comprehensive understanding of GCSE level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics. There are 5 lessons in this course.

Over the five lessons, we will cover all the sections of BMAT, focussing on techniques with which to approach the questions. All questions in this course have come from past papers and the official sites, where you can find further practice. For these papers, practice is the best path to success and homework will consolidate the skills taught that week.

The course is delivered online and includes follow-up written assignments. You will be expected to share your writing in sessions and to evaluate critically your own and others’ writing.

Sessions take place from July. Groups larger than 5 can join a class or opt for their own private lessons.

Academy courses are intended to challenge sixth form students (K12 & 13). Very advanced younger students (years 10 & 11) can also benefit from the courses.
