HOW THE PROGRAMME SUCCEEDS
Students join the University Preparation Programme in term 2 of the Lower Sixth and immediately start planning their university application. This is much earlier than is customary.
For 37 weeks they have a sustained weekly programme of activities designed to improve the quality of their application and enhance their academic skills.
Our programme teaches the core critical thinking skills that enable our students to thrive at university.
Students are provided with weekly readings, selected by academics. Reading widely around their chosen subject prepares them for interviews and gives them a head start when they begin their university degree courses.
Academic modules are taught by university academics; modules on university and course choices and personal statement preparation are taught by Bonas MacFarlane's university application specialists.
Candidates applying to Oxbridge, Medicine and Law are prepared for the admissions tests by Bonas MacFarlane specialist tutors
