Job Description: Full-Time Tutor & Mentor for Year 3 Student (Brazil, Uruguay & Travel)
Start Date: 10th July | Contract: 12 Months
An international family is seeking an exceptional tutor to provide both academic instruction and character development for their daughter (Year 3). This position goes beyond traditional tutoring; it requires someone who can support her growth as a learner and as a person.
Role Overview
The ideal tutor will guide their child academically while also helping her develop discipline, responsibility, self-reflection, and strong decision-making skills. The family places great importance on the link between attitudes, choices, and consequences, and is looking for a tutor who can reinforce these values through consistent daily interactions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, structured academic support aligned with Year 3 standards and beyond.

Reinforce habits of discipline, consistency, and personal responsibility.

Encourage reflective thinking and help their daughter connect actions to consequences in a positive, constructive way.

Establish clear expectations and routines to promote focus, respect, and attentive engagement.

Offer warm, patient guidance without adopting a “mentor” or peer-like role.

Support their daughters' schooling in Uruguay, complementing the curriculum and reinforcing progress.

Travel with the family between Brazil, Uruguay, and other destinations throughout the year.

Adapt teaching plans to various locations and changing schedules.
Candidate Profile

Warm, encouraging, patient, and deeply committed to a child’s overall development.

Experienced working with primary-aged children, ideally Year 3/Key Stage 2.

Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with extensive travel and changing environments.

Happy to collaborate closely with parents to reinforce shared values and expectations.
Location & Travel

Start in Brazil on 10th July for approximately three months.

Move to Uruguay, where their daughter will attend school while continuing tuition.

Family typically spends 5–6 months per year in Uruguay, with the remaining time in Brazil and travelling.
Contract & Package

12-month contract, renewable.
