Every October half-term, Bonas MacFarlane runs its renowned Pre-Test Preparation Courses – a bespoke programme designed to give pupils the skills, strategies, and confidence they need to excel in the ISEB Pre-Test and beyond.
With over 30 years of experience supporting families through competitive entrance processes, our Director of Tuition, Harry Cobb, has crafted a course that blends rigorous academic preparation with character-led tutorials, helping children perform at their very best.

What’s Involved?
Our courses provide focused preparation across all four key disciplines:
- English
- Maths
- Verbal Reasoning
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
Alongside these, pupils take part in creative, character-led tutorials designed to boost confidence and help them shine in school interviews.
Each child also completes a PreTest Plus mock assessment before the course begins, ensuring their tutors can tailor support to their needs from day one.
In addition, through our partnership with Exam Paper Plus, families have access to further mock assessments for the ISEB Pre-Test, 11+ London Consortium, and CEM exams.
